Threading Training

Threading is a natural, quick, and effective method of temporary hair removal.
It is inexpensive and an excellent treatment to offer in conjunction with lash and brow enhancements.
No previous experience or beauty qualification is required to attend training, so beginners to the industry are welcome!

Students will learn how to master both the hand and mouth techniques, and will be required to complete a full chin, upper lip, brow and facial thread
during their practical training. All precautions are taken to ensure both methods are 100% hygienic and safe.

Our Threading curriculum is broken down into a combination of online as well as practical hands-on learning to guide students through their training journey.

ONLINE PRESTUDY
Once enrolled, students will receive access to the online student portal where they will be required to familiarise themselves with the Threading theory and training video tutorials. This is a chance to get ahead and make notes of any questions you would like to ask your Educator in class!
PRACTICAL TRAINING
All theory and video content will be recapped on during this full day class. Students will then dive into the practical side of training learning the correct setup of each technique and practising them on a mannequin and live model under supervision of their Educator. Students will be required to arrange their own model to work on.
CASE STUDIES
Practise makes perfect! Students will be required to practise and perfect their Threading techniques on 5 models of their choice. Free refresher sessions can be arranged if students would like further guidance from their Educator whilst completing their case studies. It is up to students how quickly they complete their case studies, but we encourage them to take no longer than 3 months.
CERTIFICATION
Once the Educator is satisfied with the standard of practical work demonstrated, the Threading certificate will be awarded.

The Threading training fee includes a 300m spool of organic cotton thread and a brow wand – no kit is required!

Chin Thread: R70 – R100
Full Face: R250 – R300

Average Cost per Treatment
Per Area: R5

One 300m spool of thread will yield approximately 250 treatments. Your thread cost will therefore be less than 30c per area! Take into account any pre and post wax lotions or barrier repair creams that you would like to apply to the area, as well as disposables such as cotton wool.

Your ideal retail price will need to be determined with your location, your salon set up and your level of experience in mind.

The thread supplied to you in class can therefore cover the cost of training within 10 – 20 treatments and yield a profit in excess of R30,000!
